Driver accused of driving over car, leaving scene

Police arrested a truck driver from Los Angeles Thursday after he literally drove over a car in downtown Brattleboro and then took off.

It happened at around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main and High streets.

A Volkswagen was waiting at a stoplight when witnesses say the tractor-trailer drove up and over the hood of the car.

Amber Brown, 32, of Guilford, was in the car and was rushed to the hospital. There's no word on her condition.

Police arrested Sunil Kunwar, 31, a short time later. He's charged with careless and negligent operation and with leaving the scene of an accident.
