BURLINGTON, Vt. -
More than 1,500 farmers and educators from across the Northeast will gather in Burlington this weekend for the Northeast Organic Farmers Association Winter Conference.
It's the 30th annual winter conference and the 40th birthday for the NOFA organization.
Farmers can participate in intensive workshops on everything from beekeeping to sausage making. The event garnered keynote speakers from across the region.
Anyone who's interested can attend the event on UVM's campus Saturday and Sunday.
"The sense of community Vermont has makes this a huge year because the growing season was really challenging this past year both in the spring and with Tropical Storm Irene," said Vera Simon-Nobes, an organizer of the conference.
Walk-in tickets cost $60 a day or $115 for both Saturday and Sunday. Click here for more information.
