BURLINGTON, Vt. -
"Math Counts" is, an annual competition, and in its 29th year. More than 100 Northwest regional middle schoolers gathered at UVM for the competition Saturday. It includes a written, oral, and team questions. The top four finishers across the state will complete in a national competition in Orlando Florida this May.
Joseph Kudrle, the Math Counts Coordinator tells Channel 3, "They are eager to be here and I think they're just excited to be around people that love math as much as them."
Below is listed the students who won the "Individual Winners" category:
1st place: Matthew Ellison (Browns River)
2nd place: Alan Chiang (F.H. Tuttle Middle)
3rd place: Sajani Sivakumar (F. H. Tuttle)
4th place: Sparsh Bhordwaj (F.H. Tuttle)
