
A Williston man is behind bars after leading police on a high speed chase on Interstate 91.
It started a little after 4:30 Saturday afternoon near the Lebanon New Hampshire exit. New Hampshire State Police received numerous calls about a Chevy pickup speeding and pushing other cars off the road. Troopers later clocked the truck at 98 mph. After chasing the car and deploying spikes, police were eventually able to stop the car in Springfield.
The driver, 24-year-old James Klecka, then led police on chase through a swampy area before being taken into custody. He faces numerous charges including DUI, recklesss driving, and resisting arrest.
Two hikers had to be rescued Tuesday night off Hunger Mountain in Middlesex.
