BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Freshman Four McGlynn netted a career-high 24 points to lead the Vermont men's basketball team to a 68-49 victory over Stony Brook at Patrick Gym Sunday afternoon. The win is the eighth straight for the Catamounts. With the victory over the first place Seawolves, UVM can capture the America East regular season title if it wins it's final three conference games.
McGlynn scored 20 of his 24 points in the second half, as Vermont used a 13-0 run midway through the second half to pull out the win. Vermont opened the game on a 21-9 run only to see Stony Brook go on an 11-0 run cutting the lead to one.
Vermont returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to face Albany starting at 7 p.m.
