Bennington principal placed on leave

BENNINGTON, Vt. -

There's more controversy at a Bennington elementary school.

Last week fifth grade teacher John Dockum was fired from Monument Elementary just days after pleading not guilty to child pornography charges.

Now the principal of the school has been placed on paid leave.

In a letter to the school board, teachers and staff declared a vote of no confidence in first-year principal Brian Crego.

According to the Bennington Banner, Bennington elementary assistant principal Donna Cauley will now serve as acting administrator.
