Trial date set for inmate accused of murdering fellow prisoner

DANNEMORA, N.Y. -

A trial date has been set for a New York prison inmate charged with murdering a fellow prisoner.

The trial for Teofilo Diaz, 58, is set to begin May 9 in Clinton County Court.

Diaz allegedly hit allegedly hit Robert Poulsen, 37, in the head with a dumbbell last May at the Clinton Correctional facility in Dannemora.

Poulsen suffered a brain injury and later died at Fletcher Allen Health Care.
