Lindley takes helm of Vt. GOP

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

A long-time Republican operative is the new chairman of the Vermont GOP.

Jack Lindley was elected at the state committee meeting on Saturday. It's a job Lindley held from 1978 to 1981. He also chaired the state campaigns for President Reagan and President Bush.

Lindley replaces Pat McDonald who resigned in January for health reasons.
