N.Y. District 23 primary redux

Two familiar faces may face off again in New York's 23rd Congressional District.

Kellie Greene of Sacketts River, who works in logistics and international trade, is in -- and so is Watertown businessman, Matt Doheny.

During the 2010 election Doheny ran on the Republican ticket while Doug Hoffman ran as a Conservative. Political observers say they split the vote, handing the election over to current Congressman Bill Owens.

Hoffman says he has not ruled out running again this year. "Well, it's a crowded field, but if you remember I only lost that primary by 300 votes either way and there is a lot of grass roots support out there for me, and I have been talking to a lot of those supporters for the last 3 or 4 months so I won't be starting at ground zero," he said.

The Republican Primary is scheduled for June. No one has entered the race to challenge Owens on the Democratic ticket.
