SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -
The heat is back on at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility.
Prison superintendent David Turner says the South Burlington jail called in technicians Monday to fix a malfunctioning boiler.
Turner says Sunday night staff reported low temperatures and a lack of hot water.
Turner added that typically the temperature sits between 68 and 75 degrees in the building.
Contingency plans take effect if the mercury drops below 60 degrees.
