BURLINGTON, Vt. -
LifeSmarts is aimed at providing a new way for students across the country to learn about the world around them and to help them be more consumer savvy. The challenges cover topics from five categories—personal finance, environment, technology, health and safety, and consumer rights and responsibilities.
A team from Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg recently won the statewide competition, making them eligible for the national competition. Tamie-Jo Dickinson, a teacher at CVU and the coach for CVU's Future Business Leaders of America team, appeared on The :30 along with Joshua Huber, a ninth-grader at CVU, to talk about the competition.
