MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -
The former president of a a Middlebury manufacturing plant is facing federal fraud charges.
Prosecutors say Donald Marler commited more than $1 million in bank fraud.
Marler is the former president of Specialty Filaments, which declared bankruptcy and closed its doors in 2007.
According to court documents, the company filed falsified reports to try to get the bank to loan large sums of money.
According to the Rutland Herald, two other former company executives already pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit bank fraud.
Jeff Audette and Paul Mammorella are still awaiting sentencing.
