SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

The city of South Burlington has agreed to pay $10,000 to settle a controversial traffic stop.

Shelburne resident Erin McKenna says former police corporal Jack O'Connor pulled her over in September of 2010, illegally searched and detained her, and accused her of being a drug currier.

The nine-year-veteran has been the center of controversy for several questionable drug searches he conducted.

Several other lawsuits against him are pending.
