Feds take over Rutland drug case

RUTLAND, Vt. -

Two men arrested at a hotel in Rutland are now facing federal charges.

The U.S. Attorney's office says Tiante Branch and Quincy Collins have been indicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute crack and heroin.  

The pair were originally facing similar state charges after their arrest at the Holiday Inn last month.  But those charges have now been dismissed following the federal indictments.  If convicted, they face up to 20 years in jail.
