Hollar elected Montpelier mayor

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

A Montpelier lawyer will take over the Mayor's post.

John Hollar won an uncontested race Tuesday and will take over the spot held by Mary Hooper, who did not seek re-election.

Hollar has said his priorities include tackling the city's high property taxes and the need to improve the city's roads and infrastructure.
