MONTPELIER, Vt. -
A group crusading to prevent voter fraud in the United States says it has uncovered weaknesses in Vermont's voter laws. Project Veritas uses hidden camera videos to show how easy it is to commit fraud at the polls. The group says it's easy to get a ballot of another person, including dead people never purged from voter checklists because there is no requirement to show a photo ID.
The group made a similar video during the New Hampshire primary, prompting a bill in the Legislature that would require ID to vote.
But in Vermont, a different response-- Secretary of State Jim Condos wants the videomakers investigated for fraud for impersonating other voters.
