The community is reaching out to help the son of murder victim Melissa Jenkins.
Tyrell Robertson was in the car and told police he saw Allen Prue strangle his mother.
A fundraiser on Friday at St. Johnsbury Academy will benefit the boy. Students, faculty and staff will wear pink to honor Melissa.
A trust has also been set up for the child. Donations can be made in the name of "Melissa Jenkins Memorial Trust" and taken to any Passumpsic Savings Bank in Vermont or New Hampshire. Checks can also be mailed to:
