THETFORD, Vt. -
Thetford Academy has a new head of school.
Bill Bugg is touring the campus this week and meeting with faculty and students. Bugg comes to Thetford from a private school in Ohio. He says Thetford's unique public-private model is what attracted him to the job.
"Strong public-private partnerships in education couldn't be a bigger need than it is right now. I think Thetford Academy really stands for a model the way American schools really need to consider in making our nation's schools stronger," Bugg said.
Bugg replaces David McGinn who is the new athletic director at St. Johnsbury Academy.
