WASHINGTON -
A new report by the CDC finds 1 in 88 children has autism.
This new estimate means autism is nearly twice as common as officials said it was only five years ago and likely affects roughly about 1 million children and teens in the U.S.
Health officials attribute the increase largely to better screening and diagnosis.
