A Swanton man has been found guilty of trying to kidnap a Burlington woman back in 2009.

Thursday a jury found Harold Porter guilty of attempting kidnapping. A woman told police Porter approached her on Colchester Avenue, assaulted her and attempted to push her into his vehicle. She was ultimately able to escape. The first trial ended in a hung jury.
