WCAX News asked the chairman of the Republican National Committee to respond to the president's visit in Vermont.
Reince Priebus notes that the trip was not a presidential visit, but a fundraising visit.

"I mean let's face it. I mean, the president is there to collect cash. He is the campaigner-in-chief. And although he's not very good at running this country, the one thing he is pretty good at is raising money. He knows where to go," Priebus said.

President Obama won Vermont with 67-percent of the vote in 2008. Priebus acknowledges Vermonters' strong support for Obama, but believes the president's failed policies could bring even blue states like Vermont into play for Republicans in November.
