Grandmother may claim impairment in grandson's death

Posted: Updated:
MORRISVILLE, Vt. -

A former nurse charged with drugging her infant grandson to death may claim she was impaired.

Pamela Raymond was arrested two years ago for giving her 3-month-old grandson an antidepressant.

She is now looking at claiming she was not criminally responsible for the baby's death because she suffered from diminished mental capacity.

Raymond lost her nursing license in 1996 for diverting drugs.
