Plea deal in goat attacks

Posted: Updated:
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -

A plea deal for a man who was hired to kill a game warden's goats.

Daniel Parry, 21, of West Windsor, admits he was paid and then slashed the throats of two goats.

His plea deal calls for 30 days in jail.

Prosecutors say the killings were fueled by revenge and paid for by Nick Ashline, 33, of Hartland. Prosecutors say he was angry at the goats' owner, a game warden who had investigated him for shooting a deer. Ashline's case is still pending.
