BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A Burlington High School student is preparing for a big, national competition. Claude Mumbere just won Vermont's Poetry Out Loud competition for the second year in a row.
Students are judged on their ability to recite poetry and are ranked according to articulation, accuracy, poem knowledge, and overall performance.
Winner Claude Mumbere and Stacy Raphael of the Vermont Arts Council appeared on The :30 to talk about the contest.
