High ranking officials in the UVM Athletic Department have been dropping hints recently that a new arena could be in the University's future.
UVM Athletic Director Dr. Bob Corran made mention Saturday at the ribbon cutting ceremony for Virtue Field, the Catamounts new home for soccer and lacrosse. He also did it earlier in the week at the dedication for the brand new Frank H. Livak Track and Field Facility.
"We have some ambitious plans for some new athletic facilities," Corran said Tuesday. "We certainly plan on announcing some more exciting news in the months ahead."
Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Business Development, Chris McCabe, was slightly more specific a week ago during the Women's hockey World Championship.
"We have a vision for something that we're determined to do, we know we need to do it," McCabe said during a press conference for the Hockey World Championship. "As great as Gutterson has been to us we know we need a new facility."
