SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Police say a man visiting a South Burlington condo complex has been killed and his death is being called a homicide.
Just before 2 a.m. Monday police say they received reports of shots being fired at the City's Edge condos just off interstate 189 in South Burlington. Police say the victim, Abdul Clay, 35, of South Burlington, was visiting a resident in the building. Clay later died from a gunshot wound. Residents were not evacuated from the building, but traffic was blocked off for about two hours.
Police say Krystal Tyler, 27 of Colchester, and Jacob Beane, 22 of Shelburne, are being held on the charges of assault and robbery and accessory after the fact in a homicide. Robert Dougherty, 35 of Winooski, is held on the charges of assault and robbery and murder.
Police say the murder took place during a drug deal where Clay was allegedly supplying narcotics to Dougherty.
All three will be arraigned on Tuesday.
