This Saturday is Free Dental Clinic day in seven counties across Vermont.
Dentists are donating the day to low-income Vermonters ages 18 and up, who do not have dental insurance or the ability to pay for needed care. Most of the basics will be covered like cleanings, extractions and fillings. You do not need to bring proof of eligibility, but will be required to sign a waiver of consent.
"Those that have continuous dental infections, abscesses, gum disease, it really can impact your overall systemic health. So it's important to have that up to as healthy a level as you can and then maintain it there," said Dr. Judith Fisch of Heaton & Fisch Associates.
The clinic is being offered to residents in these counties:
It will be offered in Addison County June 2.
