
Angelica Mazzola scored four goals and handed out a pair of assists to lead eight different Spartan scorers as Castleton State College downed SUNY-Morrisville 18-11 in the North Atlantic Conference Lacrosse Championship Saturday. Castleton improves to 12-6 on the season and has earned the program's first-ever berth in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse National Tournament. Castleton will learn its opponent on Sunday evening during the NCAA Division III Selection show at 9:30 pm.
The Castleton Men's Lacrosse Team fell short of its automatic NCAA tourney bid falling to New England College, 18-7 in the NAC title game.
The Spartan Baseball team however will be dancing after winning its conference championship series. Castleton beat Penn-State Berks twice today in Utica, sweeping the three game series.
