Police say the driver in a triple-fatal crash on Interstate 89 was wearing a cast, but they now say it was on his left foot.
Jason Potvin, 29, crossed the median on the interstate and hit a truck head-on Monday. Potvin, his girlfriend and their baby were all killed in the wreck. Police do not know what caused Potvin's car to cross the median. They say neither adult was wearing a seat belt and the child safety seat was improperly installed.
Originally Vermont State police told us Potvin was wearing a cast on his right foot, but they now say that was wrong. Potvin's cast was on his left foot. We are sorry for the error.
Police say Potvin's driver's license was suspended.
