Vt State worker accused of stalking

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A state employee is accused of stalking a co-worker for nearly a year.

Police say John Wallek, 61, of Lyndonville, made inappropriate comments and frequently visited, emailed, and used Facebook to contact a female colleague in the Agency of Human Services. The alleged victim got a restraining order.

Wallek now works as a plumbing inspector for the state fire safety division. He denies the charges.
