S. Burlington, VT -- If you want proof that age is only a number just look at Flo Meiler and Barbara Jordan.
Jordan is 76. Meiler turns 78 next month. Both are world record holders and multi-time national champions in Masters division track and field. The Masters division covers athletes age 30 and above. Meiler and Jordan are currently competing in the Women's 75-79 age division.
They train five to six times a week, often assisted by former UVM track coach Bill Nedde. Both will compete in the Vermont Senior Games state track and field championships on Saturday, June 16th at South Burlington High School.
