HINESBURG, Vt. -
Hannaford is pushing forward with plans to build a new grocery store in Hinesburg.
The company recently submitted its third revision to the project, now under review by town officials. The latest changes were focused primarily on building design and stormwater design.
Hannaford's proposal to build a new store in Hinesburg has been in the works for a year and a half. And it's unclear when a final decision will be made.
"It depends on what the DRB's decision is. It is not clear whether the board is leaning toward approving the project with conditions or whether they are going to deny it," Hinesburg Town Planner Alex Weinhagen said. "Once the DRB finishes its review process, at that point they have 45 days to deliberate and come up with a written decision."
Weinhagen says it is unusual for a proposal to take this long in the review process.
