Motorcycle vs car accident in Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -

A motorcycle collided with a car Wednesday in Plattsburgh, forcing police to shut down part of a busy road.

It happened just after 4 p.m. on Route 3, right near the Hampton Inn & Suites.

Police tell the Plattsburgh Press-Republican the motorcycle rider was badly injured and was flown by helicopter to Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

The rider's name has not been released.
