BURLINGTON, Vt. -
If you have driven north on Interstate 89, you've probably spotted the famous Whale Tails. They are the work of sculptor Jim Sardonis. The Randolph artist draws inspiration from nature and has worked on many sculptures.
One of his newest works is a granite head of a golden retriever with a bronze stick in its mouth. The dog is swimming in imaginary water, much like the whale tails. It is installed in Raleigh, N.C.
Jim Sardonis appeared on The :30 to talk about his work. Watch the video for more.
