Melissa Sheketoff grew up in Fairfield, Conn., and enrolled at Champlain College in the fall of 2008. She graduated cum laude from Champlain College in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications. She was awarded her last year of college with the "Outstanding Senior Communications" award. Prior to graduation, she worked as an intern at Cumulus Radio in Connecticut for two summers as a Creative Directing intern and doing voice-over work.
In the fall of 2011, she worked as a reporting and production intern at WCAX-TV for five months. She immediately realized her passion for media was truly fulfilled in television. Upon graduation, she was hired as the associate producer for The: 30.
