Woman arrested in N. Street stabbing

A Burlington woman is in police custody in connection with an early morning stabbing.

It happened around 3:15 a.m. Sunday morning near North and Front Streets. Police say 19-year-old Patricia Phelps stabbed a 27-year-old male in the abdomen. The man was taken to the hospital. His condition was not available.

Police say Phelps was arrested nearby and is being charged with attempted murder. Police have not released a motive.
