Strong thunderstorms washed out nearly 50 high school playoff games Tuesday. The #7 Colchester and #10 Stowe girls tennis teams were able to play their D-I Playdown indoors at St Michael's College.
Here are a few Highlights:
In second doubles, Stowe's Phoebe Dandeneau and Abby Nicholson beat Colchester's Kate Carver and Mandy Wark, 4-6, 6-4, 10-7
In third singles, Colchester's Cassidy Wells beats Stowe's Sarah Salavs, 6-7, 7-5, 10-5
In the first singles Stowe's Monica Bleda beats Colchester's Alana Feely, 7-5, 4-6, 12-10.
Stowe advances to the next round with a 5-2 win over Colchester.
