Family and friends gathered Friday night - to remember a 25-year-old from Colchester whose life was cut short.
About 50 people joined the candlelight vigil for Tasha Maring at the Franklin Square Apartment complex in Burlington. Maring was killed in a fiery crash a week ago in Colchester. The 16-year-old driver is charged with DUI. The vigil was at Franklin Square - because she liked spending time there -- visiting friends. Maring was remembered as someone who could light up a room -- and you could confide in.
"Everybody here has some connection to her whether it was work related - family -- friends -- I'm sure they feel the same way I do. You wake up every morning and you fight back the tears," said vigil organizer Jamie Burt.
Maring leaves behind a 7 year old son.
