Due to the rain on Friday, June 8, the second race of the Vermont State Late Model Championship has been rescheduled for Friday, June 15 at Devil's Bowl Speedway. Listed below is a note from Devil's Bowl Speedway, with all the details for this week's racing.
The weather wasn't exactly in our favor last week, but it appears as though we'll have our best forecast yet this season for the make-up event on Friday night.
First things first, THANK YOU for your help in collecting donations for the "I Am Vermont Strong" program and the Vermont Disaster Relief Fund. In less than 10 minutes, you all raised more than $560 to donate toward a very worthy cause that hits home for a lot of us. Thank you all for your help!!!
The event starts early at 7:00pm this week, just like last week. The practice schedule will be the same as well.
We will be running FEATURES ONLY this week for all four divisions. The Bombers WILL be racing this week for points! If you have any concerns, please don't hesitate to send us an email or give us a call.
IMPORTANT: Modifieds, Late Models, and Renegades - Make sure to bring your pit area wristbands back to the track this week! They will be honored at no charge. If you lost your wristbands, please call Justin St. Louis at (802) 355-3282 ASAP or reply to this email to get things straightened out. We will do our very best to get you back in the pits at no charge if you were with us last Friday.
We have some specials this week including Spectator Racing. Street-legal vehicles, must be registered, inspected, and insured, and drivers MUST wear a helmet. One-on-one races for one lap around the track, winner moves on to the next round, and the final round winner gets a nice trophy. The only cost to enter is the price of a pit pass for the night. We encourage folks to be creative in what they bring to race... Cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, limousines, Ferraris, dump trucks -- anything, as long as it's safe and road-worthy -- bring it and we'll race it! This is a fun way for fans, family, and sponsors to get involved!
Also, we will honor all grandstand tickets from last week as well, and anyone who didn't come to the races last week will be able to buy two tickets for the price of one (buy one get one free). Adults - $15, Seniors - $13 (age 62+), Kids - Free (age 12 & under)."
