Checking in on the LCI fishing derby

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Anglers are flocking to Lake Champlain in the hopes of reeling in a big one.

The 31st annual Lake Champlain International Father's Day Derby is under way on Lake Champlain. Fishing in the Lake Champlain Basin is a major industry, reeling in millions of dollars each year. Organizers say they hope this event will draw even more anglers to the region and continue to make the event a tradition for families.

Eric LaMontagne from Lake Champlain International appeared on the Channel 3 Morning News for a check-in on the tournament.
