SOUTH HERO, Vt. -
The LCI Father's Day Fishing Derby is in the books.
Anglers hit the water at 12:01 a.m. Saturday and competition wrapped up Monday at 4 p.m.
Derby officials say anglers caught some fantastic fish in the competition's final push.
"We had amazing fish come in and some came in at the very last minute which is very cool to see. We had some almost 30-pound carp come in and some enormous 20-pound catfish come in at the last minute. An over 14-pound lake trout came in. There was a bass that came in the first day that was over six pounds," said Eric LaMontagne of the LCI derby.
