This week, the Burlington Softball Cubs get a chance to ask the Lake Monsters questions. The girls are 9 and 10 years old. Half the team is playing for the first time.
Shaneal asks, "Do you have any tips for a first or second year softball player?"
Answer, Chad Lewis (Infielder): "My top advice for you would be to never be scarred of the ball and play 100 percent no matter how the game is going."
Ella asks, "What's your favorite thing to do, throw someone out at second or tag someone out at home?"
Answer, Rhett Stafford (Catcher): "I'd have to say tagging somebody out at home just because, late in the game, a run coming in, it's a lot of fun to try and save the game and tag somebody out."
Olivia asks, "What's your favorite part about baseball?"
Answer, Michael Fabiaschi (Infielder): "My favorite part about baseball is probably competing everyday. I'm a competitor and hanging out with my teammates all the time. We have a lot of downtime so I love spending time with them."
