BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Children relying on low-cost or free meals during the school year can also receive them this summer.
The Burlington School Food Project is providing free meals to children 18 or younger through the Summer Food Service Program funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
This summer is the first that they can serve free meals to all children at drop-in sites anywhere in the city. There are eight locations.
Children do not have to provide income information and do not have to be residents of Burlington. The program begins on Monday.
