Twitter trouble in the U.S. Senate. Sen. Susan Collins of Maine posted an insulting tweet about Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, and then immediately pulled it down.

According to Politwoops, Collins' office Wednesday morning tweeted "Good ol' @SenSanders is always entertaining. Not a huge fan. I'll give him this, the genetically modified food label makes sense."

Politwoops is a website that posts tweets by politicians that are quickly deleted. The website says the Collins post was taken down after just 55 seconds.

We called Sanders' office for comment. We hadn't heard back when this story was published. As for his own tweets, the senator's staff says tweets are discussed before they're written, but the Senator does not write them himself.
