A rape conviction for a former substitute teacher.

A jury found Michael Scaringe guilty of rape, sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Prosecutors say he raped a 13-year-old girl two years ago when he gave her a ride home.

Scaringe was the director of the Saranac Lake Youth Center and a substitute teacher at St. Bernard's Catholic Elementary School.
