CHAZY, N.Y. -
A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in northern New York. It happened shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday on Route 9 in Chazy near Reynolds Road.
Police say James Wilson, 26, of Chazy, was riding northbound when the car in front of him pulled a U-turn. Wilson hit the car and was thrown from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, Carol Guindon, 61, and a passenger, Nancy Bourdeau, 45, both of Quebec, were taken to the hospital. Bourdeau is in critical condition. Two other passengers in the car escaped uninjured.
