Shumlin wants Vt logo put back on Cabot products

CABOT, Vt. -

Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin wants Vermont put back in the logo on Cabot products.

Shumlin made the announcement on "Ask the Governor" on Vermont Public Television.

The news comes after Cabot announced it was replacing the image of the state with a green barn representing the Northeast and more of its farmers' ownership to comply with Vermont's labeling law.

Shumlin did not announce a specific plan, but said it's important to get the image back on the logo, both for Vermont and for the state's marketing.
