One of Vermont's greatest political figures celebrated the century mark today.
Lola Aiken turned 100 years old. The widow of the late Senator George Aiken celebrated with family and friends at a familiar spot. For decades Lola has had breakfast at the Coffee Corner-- in the Capital City. It's where she has talked politics and spread cheer with anyone who stopped in. Aiken was also at the seat of power in Washington for decades--helping her late husband in the United States Senate. There will be a public celebration for Lola's 100th birthday-- tomorrow at 1 pm at the Vermont State house.
