Burlington police to hold forum on crime

BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Burlington police will hold a public forum to discuss a spike in burglaries and drug crimes in the city.

Alert residents recently helped police make arrests in two burglary sprees. But many residents are concerned about these and other property crimes that police say are committed mainly by drug addicts.

That led the City Council and police commission to organize a community safety forum. It will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Burlington police station.
