THETFORD, Vt. -
A lightning strike in the Upper Valley has left a 16-year-old in critical condition.
Connor Cook attends Thetford Academy. He was working Saturday at a farm in Post Mills, when he was struck by a bolt of lightning.
The school was open from 12-6 p.m. Monday, to give students, family and staff a place to go for support.
Cook has an older sibling who recently graduated from Thetford.
